Bruce Bowers & Lewis Massey: Massey is a former Democratic
secretary of state; Bowers is the son of former longtime Republican
Attorney General Michael Bowers and served on Sonny Perdue's
transition team. The team represents major interests, including
Choicepoint, Comcast Cable, Dell, J.P. Morgan Chase Bank, Nortel,
Oracle and Sun Microsystems. They also represent companies
with state contracts, or ones interested in getting state contracts.
Well-connected to the Perdue administration and Republicans in
general.

included the results of a poll
conducted with business and political leaders in Georgia.
Among the new firms faring well was
Massey and Bowers. Lewis Massey was former Lt. Governor Pierre Howard's

Bowers is the son of former Attorney General Mike Bowers, and a

Watson Named Perdue’s Chief of Staff Governor Sonny Perdue today tapped veteran political operative and legislative and public affairs expert John Watson as his new Chief of Staff. He will replace Eric Tanenblatt effective January 1, 2004.
John K. Watson has been active in politics, government, and business at the local, state and federal levels for more than fourteen years. He served as General Consultant to Governor Perdue’s highly-effective campaign for Governor and as Vice Chairman of Governor Perdue’s transition. Massey leaving SciTrek for lobbying firm Lewis Massey is leaving the top post at SciTrek to return to the fray of state politics as a new partner in the lobbying firm Watson & Bowers LLC.
A Democrat who was Georgia's secretary of state from 1996 to 1999, Massey will provide ideological balance at a firm that has been dominated by Republicans since it was founded earlier this year.
